Modernisation is a different problem to a bespoke build. We have built a process specifically for it: fixed scope, fixed price, two weeks. Here is exactly what happens.
The walkthrough below describes Advanced App. Sophisticated App engagements add roughly one week, completing around day 21, to accommodate the deeper design and feature work.
1. Audit (24 hours, free)
Before we ask for any commitment, we run an AI audit on your existing app. You give us your App Store and Google Play links; we generate:
- A breakdown of what we would preserve (branding, working features, custom logic)
- A list of what we would rebuild (outdated UI patterns, broken sign-up flows, deprecated dependencies)
- A list of what is missing relative to current standards (modern auth, accessibility, current OS targets)
- A complexity score that tells us (and you) whether the two-week timeline applies, or whether your app is unusual enough to scope separately
The audit is free and there is no obligation to proceed.
2. Scope confirmation (Day 1–2)
If you decide to proceed, we send a fixed-scope statement of work that says, in plain English, exactly what is in and what is out. You sign once. No change orders, no scope creep, no surprise extras.
If anything during the audit gives us pause (complexity, missing source, ambiguous ownership) we surface it now, not at week two.
3. Migration (Day 3–12)
Our AI migration engine reads your existing codebase and produces a modernised equivalent on a current cross-platform framework. Our engineers then:
- Review every screen against the original to confirm visual fidelity
- Fill in the bespoke logic that AI cannot translate cleanly
- Implement the modern sign-up and registration flows
- Run the security audit and resolve every finding
- Test on a current matrix of phone and tablet form factors
You see a working build on day seven. Early feedback at that point is included. We want to catch direction issues before final review, not after.
4. Review and submission (Day 12–14)
You review the final build. We make agreed revisions. We submit to the App Store and Google Play on your behalf and handle review correspondence. Our historic approval rate is 100%.
5. Management begins (Day 15+)
The monthly subscription kicks in. From this point you do not need to think about your app unless you want to. We:
- Monitor App Store and Google Play policy changes and update proactively
- Test new iOS and Android releases against your app and patch where needed
- Watch dependency CVE feeds and ship security updates without you asking
- Track performance baselines and investigate regressions
- Send a short monthly status note: one screen, no jargon
If you want a feature added, you ask. We will scope it under the subscription if it is small, or quote it separately if it is not.
What you actually have to do
To be clear about your time commitment:
- One 20-minute discovery call
- One 30-minute scope review on day two
- One ~60-minute review on day seven
- One ~60-minute final review and sign-off on day twelve
- ~30 minutes per quarter on the management subscription
