@risepartners, @wpc10us, @simchabe, @erigligman and me @nuxnix

I was at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference this week in Washington DC.

Social media was a big part of the conference for me. and I was delighted top the list of #wpc10 tweeters and participate in a Live Meeting based #tweetup. You can watch the webcast recording (in Microsoft Live meeting format of course): http://bit.ly/wpc10social

Spontaneous meetings are a part of any conference but this was a little different. We agreed to meet up in the US Lounge for a session on "5 Effective Ways Social Media Can Drive Business Value".

It was an interactive presentation involving Microsoft #WPC10 tweeters and third parties - drawn from the top tweeter list.

We talked about business value Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIN, Foursquare, etc can deliver to any company, but especially in the context of the partner conference.

I tweeted as we did so:

  1. Talking about how to stimulate and engage in a dialogue using social media at #wpc10 #tweetup
  2. Now were onto delivering responsive customer service with @risepartners on twitter at #wpc10
  3. ..responsive customer service at the #wpc10 #tweetup with concrete examples of listening
  4. Showcase your expertise the next topic at the #wpc10 #tweetup on Live Meeting too
  5. @meetdux Twitter expertise is like 'the mob' - you can say 'i know someone...' #wpc10
  6. #wpc10 - monitor competitors and trends

This brilliant idea to do a tweetup/webcast on July 15 came about via @meetdux - well done!
