Codestrong
Multizone attended Codestrong 2011 in San Francisco to gain insight into Appcelerator's plans for the tools we rely upon to be successful. It was a good decision to go, although at the moment while we bootstrap the business it was a tough financial trade off and vital time away from the sales opportunities we are working on.
Imagine our delight when the CEO, Jeff Haynie showed a slide in his keynote presentation highlighting our app for Surrey Police and recognising it for innovation in the government sector.

"This is pretty cool, Surrey Police official app for connecting with the public to solve crime. It launched around the time of the UK riots and its a great application - Jeff Haynie"
We have made no secret that Multizone is using Appcelerator Titanium as the development tool chain for our mobile apps development. The combination of tools, community and roadmap is compelling and our time to market and cost is better than it would be if we had teams of native mobile device developers.
Instead we let Appcelerator Titanium do this heavy lifting, and where we can, we open source the generic work that we build as our way of contributing back to the community itself. Multizone also supports the London Titanium User Group by attending and presenting.
When we evaluated the market last year we looked at all the products available and decided Appcelerator was the one with the best vision, and roadmap, and most promise. That was before they acquired Aptana, and secured in November 2011 another $15m of funding. We find dealing with the people at Appcelerator to be a pleasure and have confidence that they will quickly evolve their platform as we evolve our solutions.
