The implications of social media for public sector information

PDFPrintE-mail

We provide coaching, and facilitated workshops to level set stakeholders in public sector organisations on real time information networks with a view to creating concrete action plans for engagement - please get in touch directly if this is something of interest to your organisation mentioning the fact that you were at #psi2011.

This presentation provided an orientation to the real time information networks and social media that need to be understood in the public sector. There is a lot of hype, but what is the reality! There are vitally important conversations going on in a variety of important networks that can be effective mechanisms for information dissemination and two way engagement.

Examples were shown of how social media is currently being used in a public sector context, demonstrating practices that work, and those that do not. We present a pragmatic approach by which public sector organisations can show a measurable return on investment in social information by providing higher quality services in times of diminished budgets

@theboysmithy: @multizone ps. by far the best session of the day :-)” Thank you very much ^af (FYI @kable_events)Tue Mar 01 18:34:13 via Twitter for iPad
